This is our family story:
God is Holy
And one called to another and said:“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory! Is 6:3
And we are all sinful, unable to please Him, unable to achieve His standard
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God Rom 3:23
as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; Rom 3:10
For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. Rom 8:7
This separated us from God, and we will all give an account for our lives. A hopeless situation
but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear. Is 59:2
And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, Heb 9:27
But God gave us Jesus. The second person of the Trinity became a man, born to the Virgin Mary
God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. Gal 4:4b-5
He lived a sinless life, and was sentenced to crucifixion. He died and was buried
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Heb 4:15
And when he learned from the centurion that he was dead, he granted the corpse to Joseph. And Joseph bought a linen shroud, and taking him down, wrapped him in the linen shroud and laid him in a tomb that had been cut out of the rock. And he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb. Mar 15:45-46
But He rose from the grave, the sacrifice for our sin was accepted by the Father. He is Risen!
For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. 1Co 15:3-6
We are now righteous before God through faith in Christ alone. And we live to serve Him!
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become
the righteousness of God. 2Co 5:21
because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Rom 10:9
And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Act 2:38
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Eph 2:8-10
He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! Rev 22:20
